ACCOMMODATIONS

The forward stateroom features a large 7′ v-berth with insert, stowage below, hanging lockers & shelves, opening port, deck hatch, and private entrance to head via pocket door.
The main salon has an “L” shaped settee berth to port which converts to a double berth for sleeping and has storage outboard and above. A single settee is to starboard. Bookcases and storage lockers are located above the berths. A fold down table is located on the bulkhead and folds out to a single or double tabletop. The bulkhead mounted table cabinet will store wine bottles and dishes.
Headroom (6’4″)
The aft cabin is to starboard and has a large berth (6’7″ by 5′ wide), a spacious changing area, reading lamps, storage lockers and outboard shelves. Custom fitted linens & coverlets.She features a varnished ash & teak interior with varnished teak & holly cabin sole, which is clean and well maintained.
A sit down nav station is opposite the galley to starboard.
Ports and window lights although not exclusive to this boat, very few F38s have their configuration, which makes for a very light and airy interior and substantially enhances the boat’s appearance.

GALLEY

The galley is to port and features a double stainless sink with H&C pressure water, a three-burner propane stove and oven, large storage shelves, top loading refrigeration/ice box (engine driven).

ON DECK

The Freedom 38 is known for her sailing performance. The free standing, carbon fiber mast with fully battened mainsail with Tides Marine Strong track and self-tending, Camberspar jib deliver a simple, powerful, and easily controlled sail plan for easy short-handed performance cruising. All sail controls are lead through updated rope clutch stoppers to the cockpit and may be controlled by the two Barient # 27 two speed, self-tailing winches. The traveler is Harken and traveler control lines are fed through the dodger to the cockpit. The deck is white with gray non-skid.

  • Triple lifelines (34″) provides a measure of security that can’t be appreciated until you experience it. They should be required on every offshore cruising boat. 2020
